Public Event: Digitization of Work - Facing the Economic and Political Risks

The nature of work has gone through substantial changes in a short period of time through the two fold impacts of globalization and technological disruptions. If the digitization of work carries huge promises for businesses, it also triggers many concerns with regard to the social acceptance of multifaceted sociopolitical, economic, and geopolitical shifts.

 

The dissemination of artificial intelligence-based technologies contributes to increasing fears about ‘jobs destruction’, while the Covid pandemic has highlighted the necessity to think about the ways individuals and organizations work.

Dr. Julien Nocetti is Associate Professor at Saint-Cyr Military Academy, Associate Fellow at French premier-think tank IFRI (French Institute for International Relations), and Head of the Chair in Cyber Risk Governance at Rennes School of Business. He is an expert in global digital-related issues, including the geopolitics of cyberspace and artificial intelligence, as well as the geoeconomics of emerging technologies. He is also a specialist in Russia's foreign and cyber policies.
