Ukrainian community at SSE Riga continues to grow
An update on SSE Riga's ongoing support for Ukrainian students and researchers.
SSE Riga is committed to supporting Ukrainians in their pursuit of higher education. The Ukrainian community at SSE Riga is growing, with 17 full-time students, 2 Ukrainian researchers involved in academic and research activities, and 2 Ukrainian technical staff members on board.
This Spring semester, we have also welcomed 3 exchange students to the Bachelor programme, who arrived from Ukraine after a special recruitment tour to provide additional opportunities for Ukrainians studying in higher education institutions.
The Friends of KSE initiative will fully cover the stay in the dormitory for full-time Ukrainian students and the costs of psychological support for all Ukrainians at SSE Riga until the end of the academic year.
Moreover, we are pleased to share that the Alumni Association, including the Estonian and Lithuanian Alumni Chapters, is raising funds for admission scholarships for future Ukrainian applicants for the study year 2023/2024. The Estonian Alumni Chapter provided individual living scholarships to Ukrainian students in need during the last term.
We are proud to contribute to the Teach for Ukraine project, with 11 SSE Riga faculty representatives teaching parts or full courses at the partner institution Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), Ukraine.
We are grateful to everyone - staff and students - who have been involved, and we warmly welcome Ukrainian students to SSE Riga!
