We are pleased to invite you to the TOP101 Panel Discussion Session, which is done in collaboration between the Stockholm Schools of Economics in Riga and TOP101.lv presented by Prudentia and NASDAQ Riga/Tallinn.
The Panel Discussion Session will cover the topic of creating Ecosystems for Business Development with the main question put beforehand – How to Raise Local Unicorns? During the session, attendees will be able to ask questions to the panelists.
What is the topic of this discussion?
Looking through the prism of history, the business has borrowed the definition of ecosystems from biology. The term was introduced in the 1930s by the British botanist Arthur Tansley. By the word ecosystem, he described local communities of organisms that interact with each other and the environment. To thrive, these organisms compete and cooperate, evolve together, and adapt to external shocks.
In the early 1990s, business strategist James Moore adopted this concept and suggested considering the company not as a separate player but as a representative of a business ecosystem encompassing many participants from different industries.
Today, ecosystems are described as dynamic and constantly evolving communities that create new value through cooperation and competition. Common goals and interests, and most importantly, the need to respond to the growing demands of consumers make the business ecosystem the fundamental concept of today’s business environment, allowing entrepreneurs and managers to create new products and companies in the continuously developing world.
Taking all the above, we will conduct a discussion session between the Baltic entrepreneurs and company leaders on the topic of ecosystems for businesses with a deeper look at the first stages of the companies’ development and operations, peeking into the future of the Baltics enterprises.
Who are the members of the panel?
Moderator of the event:
Ģirts Rungainis, Founding Partner, Member of the Council at Prudentia
Please note that the panel discussion members can be changed over time.
