“Taking into account that in the rapidly changing world, new challenges and opportunities arise, which are often related to sustainability issues and the necessary solutions, SEB tries to support the client's wishes for more sustainable solutions in its work, as well as to pass on knowledge about its relevance to young people. Therefore, by supporting the ESI program, SEB aimed to invite young people to think about sustainability issues in a financial context, as well as to create an entrepreneurial spirit among young people. We are pleased with the results of the program, and the final event of the program is the icing on the cake when the focus is on sustainable business.” – says Karlis Karolis, Baltic Head of Innovations at SEB.
Zanda Šadre, Corporate Responsibility and Communications Director, Rimi Baltic Group, says: "We have been working on ESI Program already for two years, and we are happy to celebrate the closure of the project with challenging youngsters within this event. As a sustainable retailer, we believe in the power of innovation to address today's environmental challenge, and we are confident that the brilliant young minds participating in this event will come up with creative solutions to our sustainability challenges on food waste, plastic reduction etc. Together, we can make a positive impact on the future of our planet. Good luck to all the participants, and let's hack for a sustainable future!"
ESI Incubation Program Manager, Katrīna Peipiņa, who is also the organizer of Impact Lab says:” We're thrilled to invite university students with a passion for creating positive change to join us at the Impact Lab! The event is all about harnessing your sustainable entrepreneurial potential and turning ideas into impactful solutions.
