SSE Riga offers an Executive MBA programme that stands out with its international and highly experienced student body
SSE Riga was the first university to create and offer an Executive MBA programme in the Baltic market back in 2002. As a result, we have accumulated a lot of experience and grown our network of alumni, which is a great benefit to the students of the Executive MBA programme as they get the added value of a large pool of contacts.
Visit our Information Session on November 8th to learn more about the Executive MBA programme: the study content, specific modules, our lecturers and the admission process.
There are several MBA study programmes available in the Baltics, but Executive MBA is the next level, meaning that this study programme is intended for managers who already have considerable experience in leading positions (at least 5 years). This is why SSE Riga’s Executive MBA programme is built to ensure an efficient balance between work, family life and studies, with only four days of contact lessons a month (Wednesday to Saturday).
SSE Riga’s Executive MBA programme is also different due to the fact that the study process relies on case study analysis and other practical teaching methods, such as field trips to different companies.
SSE Riga also offers its Executive MBA students a transcontinental study trip to Asia (Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia). These trips provide practical experience and opportunities to analyse the global markets that are currently experiencing rapid growth. Meanwhile, the Business Ethics module in Stockholm provides both theoretical and practical insight into corporate social responsibility and ethics that are so crucial to businesses and that Scandinavian countries are the leading experts of. The rest of the modules are taught in Latvia.
We are proud of our international student body, which gives us more opportunities to establish business contacts outside our homeland: both within and outside the Baltics. Students currently enrolled in the programme come from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Austria and China. SSE Riga faculty is also international: an average of 80% of our lecturers are foreign, including lecturers from the Baltics, Great Britain, the USA, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, Croatia, Australia and Canada who teach this programme.
We cooperate with universities in Sweden and Russia, namely our mother school Stockholm School of Economics (Stockholm) and its branch Stockholm School of Economics in Russia (Saint Petersburg), and organise joint events for students and alumni.
