On February 4th, SSE Riga started the course — The Power of Play: Cultivating Resilience for Business Challenges — and it was organized in co-operation with Mälardalen University, Sweden; Reykjavik University, Iceland; University of South Eastern Norway; Aarhus University Herning, Denmark; Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia; LAB University of Applied Sciences, Finland; and ISM University of Management and Economics, Lithuania — altogether forming the Nordbiz network, established in 1993.

It was a unique learning experience that started virtually and culminated in an intensive week in Riga, April 7–11. The uniqueness was defined by the large number of international participants, as well as the main teaching method — the game.

During the intensive week, students participated in a simulation game that allowed them to learn about energy market functionality and develop managerial, negotiation, and strategic skills.

The course was financed by Nordplus, a long-term co-operation partner of the Nordbiz network. This support enabled the development and implementation of a high-impact course that provided an excellent learning experience for students and an intensive knowledge exchange for teachers from all eight universities.

We sincerely thank all participants (pictured) and congratulate them on the valuable skills and insights they have gained throughout this experience.
