The European Public Choice Society (EPCS) is dedicated to promoting scientific research on public and non-market decision-making, political economy, and institutional economics. The organization encourages the exchange of ideas and knowledge among researchers, scholars, and students through conferences, workshops, and publications, with a multidisciplinary approach drawing on economics, political science, law, and sociology.

"I am honored to join the board of this prestigious organization. This is an incredible opportunity for me to contribute to the promotion of scientific research in the field of public choice, which studies how politics shapes economic outcomes, at the crossroad between economics and political science," says Professor Gavoille.

Nicolas Gavoille's primary research focus lies in public economics and political economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Rennes 1, France, and serves as the President of the Baltic Economic Association and as an Editor of the Baltic Journal of Economics. His work has been published in journals such as European Economic Review, European Journal of Political Economy, Public Choice and IMF Economic Review.

The EPCS is also known for its annual meetings, attracting over 300 scholars from around the world in a different European city each year.
