Research project DISCE has concluded
In June 2022, the international research project DISCE (Developing Inclusive & Sustainable Creative Economies) came to a conclusion. The project involved partners from the University of Turku, King's College London, Gran Sasso Science Institute, and Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
The extensive research results of the project are now published and available to the public here.
The project has produced a series of reports, case studies, policy recommendations, European policy briefs and other materials.
The 10 cities selected for the case studies were Chatham (UK), Dundee (UK), Enschede (NL), Leuven (BE), Liepaja (LV), Lund (SE), L'Aquila (IT), Pécs (HU), Pori (FI) and Treviso (IT).
The DISCE project focused on reassessing the role of Cultural and Creative Industries as contributors to growth, quality employment, competitiveness, and the attractiveness and social cohesion of cities and regions across the EU.
The project was funded by the EC H2020 Programme.
