Public lecture: A Swedish Banker’s Views on Banking and Financing in the Baltics 1988-2022

On November 21, within the Bachelor programme Welfare Economics and Public Policy course, Bo Kragh, a former banker with a long career at Sweden’s Handelsbanken, will give a talk to students about how the banking industry has evolved in the Baltics during the period from 1988 to this day.

Bo Kragh is a former Vice President of Svenska Handelsbanken. He has acted as a representative of Svenska Handelsbanken in Moscow during the 1970s and has later on, starting from the early 1990s, served as an advisor to the governments of Estonia and Latvia.

In 2017 he has undertaken, in cooperation with the Swedish Embassy in Kyiv, a study of the banking situation in the then Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine.

Bo is also a 1971 graduate of Handelshögskolan or the Stockholm School of Economics as it is called in English and is known as SSE Riga's "parent school".
