Are you ready to challenge everything you thought you knew about investing? Join us for a special four-lecture series on November 5, 7, 12, and 14 — Investment Perspectives from a Hedge Fund Guy, led by Gints Robert Berzins, presented in a Socratic seminar format.
Open to SSE Riga alumni, faculty, and current students, this seminar series will explore key topics in finance and investment, encouraging participants to challenge conventional thinking through open dialogue.
Series are designed not only for individuals with limited investment experience and knowledge of finance but also for seasoned investment professionals willing to have their long-held views challenged.
With 40 years of experience, Mr. Berzins will guide participants in examining key issues in today’s financial markets, particularly the stock market.

Gints Robert Berzins brings decades of experience as an investment banker, sell-side analyst, buy-side analyst, and portfolio manager. He spent 19 years at Beach Point Capital Management, a manager of a $15 billion portfolio of bonds, loans, public and private equity. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at Lehman Brothers, becoming the firm's first credit analyst to achieve an MD title. In his career, he has participated in the arranging, buying, and selling of investments totaling over $100 billion. He is a graduate of MIT and holds an MBA and Juris Doctor from Boston University.
