The founder and director of RUSI's Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies Tom Keatinge will present a compelling lecture titled "Everyone is Asking: Do Sanctions Actually Work?" About the speaker:

Tom Keatinge is Director of the Centre for Financial Crime & Security Studies (CFCS) at The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI).

He is also currently a specialist adviser on illicit finance to the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

​He has a Master’s in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London.  Prior to joining RUSI in 2014, he was an investment banker for 20 years at J.P. Morgan.

Keatinge's research explores finance-security dynamics, covering state threats, sanctions, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, organized crime, and innovative anti-financial crime strategies. He's shared insights in publications, media, UK parliamentary and US congressional hearings, and high-level multilateral forums like the UN Security Council and the Financial Action Task Force.

Prior registration is not required as we will hold the lecture in a large auditorium.
