Professor Arnis Sauka will present research on the key concerns and suggestions of the main foreign investors in Latvia
The competition for foreign investment will be particularly fierce in the upcoming year due to the pandemic. How to recover from the Covid-19 crisis and increase foreign investment in the long run?
For the sixth consecutive year, Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia (FICIL) will present the foreign investors' assessment of the business environment in Latvia, taking a closer look at developments regarding tax system, labour force productivity and skills, Covid-19 impact, digitalisation and green economy development as well as other key topics of concern.
Findings of the 6th FICIL Sentiment Index will be presented by SSE Riga Professor Arnis Sauka on January 29th at 10:00 and live stream of the presentation "How to Recover Latvia’s Economy After Covid-19 and Increase investments in the Long-term" will be available on the TVNet portal.
The presentation and discussion will be in Latvian, but simultaneous interpretation in English will be provided. The presentation will be followed by a discussion moderated by journalist Jānis Domburs.
FICIL Sentiment Index is an annual report which follows development of the investment climate in Latvia from the perspective of foreign investors, identifying the most significant challenges in the business environment. It is a qualitative study, based on in-depth interviews with investors, carried out by FICIL in cooperation with SSE Riga.
