Professor Arnis Sauka recognized for outstanding contribution at FICIL 25th anniversary celebration
On February 27th, the Foreign Investors’ Council in Latvia (FICIL) marked its 25th anniversary with an event attended by government officials, ambassadors, and key stakeholders from the investment community. The celebration highlighted FICIL’s ongoing efforts to enhance Latvia’s business environment and strengthen cooperation between foreign investors and policymakers.
The FICIL Award for Outstanding Contribution was presented to Professor Arnis Sauka for his efforts in strengthening the foreign investment environment, in collaboration with FICIL.
The award recognized Sauka's research contributions to the Sentiment Index, a key tool for assessing investor confidence and business conditions. The FICIL Sentiment Index summarizes the key concerns and suggestions of major foreign investors in Latvia, providing valuable insights to improve the investment climate. For nine consecutive years, FICIL, in collaboration with Professor Arnis Sauka, has conducted the Sentiment Index research. Sauka has also served two terms on the FICIL board, contributing to strategic discussions and policy recommendations.
As an academic and policy advisor, Sauka's research has provided valuable insights into economic challenges and opportunities, helping to shape evidence-based policies. His collaboration with FICIL has been instrumental in bridging the gap between academic research and practical economic policy.
