Professor Arnis Sauka participates in the Sustainability Centres Workshop in New York City
On June 25-27, 2018, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Business at SSE Riga Dr. Arnis Sauka participated in the NBS Sustainability Centres Workshop at the Cornell Tech campus in New York City.
The Centre for Sustainable Business at SSE Riga was founded in 2012 and its aim is to foster a discussion in the business community as well as in society in general on sustainability on all its dimensions, for example, the Shadow Economy Index for the Baltic Countries is estimated annually by the Centre.
The workshop was an initiative of the Sustainability Centres Community (SCC), managed by the Network for Business Sustainability.
The workshop brought together sustainability centres from business schools around the world to share ideas on improving research, teaching, outreach, and strategy — all with the aim of advancing knowledge and practice on business sustainability.
The workshop provided a rare and important opportunity for leaders of business school sustainability centres to share common challenges and identify solutions. Participants explored cutting-edge ideas and best practices to improve sustainability research, teaching and outreach; and experienced hands-on training to increase skills in specific areas.
