The newest cohort of Executive MBA students has started their studies
In mid-September, SSE Riga welcomed the newest international cohort of Executive MBA students. Since 2002, SSE Riga's Executive MBA programme has empowered over 400 business leaders.
With an average age of 37 and an impressive 9 years of management experience, this cohort brings a wealth of expertise to our classrooms, with 62% currently holding C-level positions (pictured). Additionally, we are pleased to welcome back three SSE Riga Bachelor alumni who have chosen to continue their academic journey at SSE Riga.
The initial days of their studies were intensive, including a three-day study module on "Competitive Strategy" outside Riga. Led by Yuri Romanenkov, Chair of the Executive MBA programme, this experience not only familiarized the group with our programme but also facilitated connections among students. This highly skilled group, comprising participants from Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, and Belarus, originating from various industries, contributes diverse perspectives, creating highly engaging classroom discussions.
The two-year Executive MBA programme strikes the perfect balance between work, life, and education. Students meet once a month for a concentrated 4-day onsite module, ensuring that their studies harmoniously integrate with their busy professional lives. Students also embark on two mandatory international immersion trips to Asia and Sweden, enriching their global business outlook and fostering cross-cultural competence.
In addition to the core curriculum, students have the opportunity to tailor their education by choosing elective courses offered at our parent school, the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) in Sweden, and through the esteemed Global Network for Advanced Management.
