Kostomarovs Arvids
Arvīds Kostomārovs received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) in 1996 and his Master's degree in International Economics and Business at the Stockholm School of Economics in 1998. Arvīds holds CFA (since 2001) and CAMS (2019) professional designations.
Arvīds is a senior executive with broad international experience, advisor and lecturer at SSE Riga. Currently, he is a Partner at Kostomārova Birojs and before that for three years he was a Financial Advisory Partner at Mazars – a global audit and advisory firm. For two years he was a liquidator of the third-largest Latvian bank (ABLV). Following FinCEN’s notice in February 2018 Arvīds was working closely with key stakeholders - regulators (ECB, FCMC in Latvia and CSSF in Luxembourg), FIU, creditors, shareholders, employees, law enforcement, FinCEN and others. In 2023 Arvīds was a Financial Advisor to the liquidator of Baltic International Bank.
Arvīds is an experienced deals adviser having worked on deals for 18 years of which 14 years with PwC. At PwC Arvīds advised corporates and private equity clients on more than 250 deals in CEE. Arvīds has led PwC Advisory (Deals and Consulting) practice in Latvia, Deals practice in Central Asia (based in Kazakhstan), and project teams in Poland, Russia, Romania, and Croatia. Arvīds has also four years of experience leading a private equity fund investing in online businesses in Russia and Ukraine.
Besides his native Latvian Arvīds is fluent in English and Russian, and is currently learning Spanish and Ukrainian.
