Student Competion: Create ideas for solving energy and waste problems in Latvia
ESI student innovation programme and SSE Riga in cooperation with “Rimi Baltic”, “SEB banka” and "Eco Baltia" invites students to take part in the Sustainability Challenge.
The Sustainability Challenge is a hackathon-type competition in which, through various tasks, mentoring classes, and other activities, participants will develop creative solutions to tackle issues related to energy production and use, waste reduction and proper management. It is possible to participate in the competition with an existing idea or create it from the scratch.
Activities of this competition will be implemented in three phases.
1/ March 18: an opening event for all participants.
2/ March 20-24: online mentoring sessions, work in teams, and face-to-face meetings with companies to generate ideas.
3/ March 25-26: participants will meet with industry experts and mentors, who will help to develop their ideas further. Activities will take place at “Rimi Baltic” premises in Riga. On the last day, all teams will present their solutions to a jury consisting of project partners - “Rimi Baltic”, “SEB banka” and "Eco Baltia".
All activities will be held in English.
Teams will compete for valuable prizes. The first place will be awarded 3000 EUR, the second place - 2000 EUR, and the third place - 1000 EUR.
The winners will be announced on March 26.
