Call to the SSE Riga Alumni: Get involved in the Boardroom Exercise!
This April we will be running 'The Boardroom Exercise' for BSc programme final-year students. Some of you may remember taking part in such an exercise in the past.
What is this?
This is a form of examination for our students at the end of the BSc programme. In this exercise, students will be individually solving a Strategy case and presenting their analysis and recommendations, playing the CEO, to a pretend Board comprised of a combination of alumni and faculty members.
This replaces the written exam in the Strategy course – Boards will give students a grade for their performance, which will contribute 40% of their total grade for Strategy.
The Boardroom Exercise will take place onsite at SSE Riga and via Zoom. You can choose what format you prefer (though we encourage Riga-based alumni to join onsite); each student also chooses the format they prefer.
How you can contribute?
We would love you to join our Boards!
This is an exciting new format used by some of the best business schools worldwide and it relies very heavily on alumni sharing their business judgment and real-world insights.
For those of you interested in taking part, it would require a four-hour commitment, with options of slots on the morning or the afternoon of Wed 5 April or the morning of Thu 6 April plus a 30min briefing a few days before.
We would be really grateful for your time – we have over 100 Year 3 CEOs to pressure-test.
