Artificial Intelligence – new course launched in the BSc programme
The Artificial Intelligence course aims to bring awareness, demystify and enhance understanding of buzzwords such as Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Digital Transformation, and many more.
We're always excited to welcome our graduates back to SSE Riga as faculty members. This month Year 3 students are learning a new core course on Artificial Intelligence (AI), with content developed by Ričards Garančs (Class of 2012).
The course looks at three distinctive parts:
- Digital Transformation (DT) and how it affects our lives and the agendas of every company;
- Machine Learning as the backbone for bringing AI inside a company & acquiring insights that were not possible earlier;
- AI in general with a focus on its ability to automate jobs, help in daily errands, and raise awareness of how quickly it is developing and what outcomes can be expected from it.
The course provides frameworks for AI and DT strategies, shows in practice how to develop image recognition or machine learning algorithms, multiple case studies on different aspects of AI and promotes students’ ability to provide an AI strategy for a company.
