Art Exhibition at SSE Riga: "Inner Peace" by Kristīne Kutepova

At SSE Riga, we take pride in our unique collection of contemporary Latvian art, which began in 1995. This collection stands as a testament to the most progressive wave of Latvian avant-garde art of its generation. We believe that art has the power to evoke emotions, inspire students' creativity, and deepen their understanding of the world.

We are now enhancing this legacy with a special temporary exhibition by Kristīne Kutepova.  The exhibition, titled “Inner Peace”, features a curated selection of eight artworks. Each piece explores themes of inner peace, highlighting the healing power of nature. Nature, depicted in nearly every painting, serves as a sanctuary, offering strength and serenity to those who observe and connect with it. Join us for an event where Kristīne Kutepova will personally introduce her work.

Kristīne Kutepova (b. 1982) earned both a bachelor’s (2017) and a master’s (2019) degree in painting from the Visual Arts Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts. She has received several prestigious awards, including the LMA award in the 2017 "SEB Scholarship in Painting" competition and the Ināra Tetereva Art Scholarship in 2015. Since 2014, Kristīne has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions, including international projects in Italy, Germany, and Lithuania. Her paintings are held in private collections across Norway, Austria, Poland, Estonia, the Royal House of Sweden, and the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia.
