Format

The programme consists of combination of classroom sessions, case studies, group discussions, and team projects, all of which are designed to help participants deeper understanding of key business concepts and challenges. The programme also offers participants the opportunity to challenge themselves outside of their comfort zone.

The programme is delivered in a modular format, with participants attending several days of classes over the course of several months.

Rebecca Homkes, who will lead the Survive, Reset, Thrive: Strategy and Execution through Uncertainty module is a high-growth strategy specialist, working with CEOs and executive teams focused on growth and success through uncertainty. She is a Lecturer at the London Business School (LBS)’s Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, Faculty at Duke Corporate Executive Education.

Homkes founded a boutique consultancy firm, and her playbook for breakthrough growth through uncertainty is the go-to resource for high-growth companies across the globe. A partner at GrowthX Corporate and Board Member for the Silicon Valley Growth Syndicate (SVGS), Silicon Valley investment firms, she advises several technology companies and groups.


javier

Javier Marcos who will lead the Negotiations module is a Professor at Cranfield School of Management (UK). He is the Director of Learning for Performance Ltd., a boutique sales and negotiation training practice. He is regarded as an inspiring management educator, researcher and consultant and has 25 years of experience working in academia, consultancy and in multinational corporations.

He has delivered programmes for Bosch-Siemens, Khuene and Nagel, Unilever, the Cabinet Office, and the Treasury in the UK and for business schools in Europe and the US. He was the Director of Custom Programmes, Executive Education, and Senior Faculty at the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.


scott

Scott Gould who will lead the Engaged Organisation module, is an author and consultant on engagement. He examines the concept of engagement at a universal level, exploring how people engage with ideas, things, and each other. Scott is a prominent conference speaker, as well as a lecturer on several postgraduate programmes including the Kaospilots and the United Nations System Staff College.

Scott is the founder of Ampersand, an engagement consultancy that works with a diverse range of organisations on how they engage their employees, customers, and communities. As an advisor to various United Nations departments and agencies, he helped develop their team engagement initiative, based upon his theory of practical engagement.


rihards

Rihards Garančs who will lead Decision making module is the Executive Education Managing Director at SSE Riga and lecturer at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and Hanken Executive Education in Helsinki. He is the Course Director of the Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis and Business & Leadership Skills courses. He is also the Lead for Digital Transformation at the SSE Riga Institute for Strategy.

Rihards runs a consulting practice that develops Business Intelligence, Data Strategy, Data & Digital capability building.

Rihards holds a double degree MBA in HEC Paris and NUS, a BSc in SSE Riga as well as Data Science certification.

The programme consists of the introduction session, special event and 6 modules.

Introduction to the Advanced Management Programme:
In this online session, you will have the opportunity to meet the faculty and gain insights into what to expect from the programme. You will also be able to ask questions and communicate your goals and expectations.

Modules:

  1. Survive, Reset, Thrive: Strategy and Execution through Uncertainty:
    During periods of uncertainty, it is essential to rethink our approach to strategy and growth. Instead of simply trying to survive, we need to embrace uncertainty, shift from planning to preparation, and develop strategies to thrive. This module will explore how to build adaptable and agile strategies for your company through resets and execute successful journeys to achieve high growth.
  2. Strategic Foresight and AI: Harnessing AI for Future Success:
    This module delves into the principles of assessing technologies to ensure they enhance productivity and do not become distractions. Learn how to strategically approach technological changes with the emergence of AI. Additionally, the module focuses on helping organizations anticipate and prepare for future challenges and opportunities by exploring alternative futures, identifying emerging trends, and developing proactive strategies.
  3. ESG as a Growth Catalyst: Achieving Sustainable Competitive Advantage for Senior Executives:
    Gain insights into the latest trends regarding a company's impact on the environment, society, and corporate governance. This module will guide you in adopting sustainable and responsible business practices in alignment with the latest legislative norms.
  4. Decision Making: Strategic Thinking in a Complex World:
    Making timely and effective decisions is crucial for increasing efficiency and avoiding wasted time and resources. This module will provide you with tools and strategies to enhance decision-making skills at both individual and organizational levels.
  5. Mastering the Art of Influence: Advanced Negotiation Techniques:
    Negotiations are a critical aspect of business, and the ability to negotiate and influence people effectively can lead to better outcomes and more successful deals. This module will equip you with advanced negotiation techniques to enhance your negotiation skills. Additionally, you will learn strategies for influencing employees and motivating them towards embracing change.
  6. Creating an Engaged Organisation: teams, customers and communities:
    This module will cover the essential components of what engages people inside and outside your organisation, and then looks at the advanced task of actually implementing engagement into your organisation in a sustainable, long-term manner.
